Our story
Blue Moon Charitable Trust a non-profit entity functioning since 2008 with a focus on universal education, women empowerment, Panchayath raj strengthening, youth empowerment, food and nutrition security, disaster Management, organic agriculture, resource conservation, watershed management, bio-diversity conservation, deforestation, promotion of handicrafts, promotion of herbal medicine, community health & sanitation initiatives still reaching for the development of needy and downtrodden community.

Blue Moon Charitable Trust has branches in every District in Kerala State and started the operational Head office at Ollur Traders Center, Ollur in Thrissur District is the center of Kerala State with spreading the activities onwards. We are conducting community development programmes, Tribal development programmes, Awareness campaigns, Pollution Control Awareness Seminars, Medical camps, Blood donation camps, Eye testing camps, Cultural Awareness Camps, Educational Awareness Camps with distribution of educational kits to the poor students and Economical Awareness Camps and professional social work trainings regularly.

Blue Moon Charitable Trust, working for social transformation wherein the marginalized & deprived sections of community are socially, economically and politically empowered to lead life of security, dignity, and prosperity. Prolonged handholding support to the target community through awareness and capacity building has resulted into strengthened people organizations in terms of information, knowledge and leadership. We work with communities in identifying solutions to their problems with the overall aim of contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. We work to support evidenced based community interventions to meet community needs as well as strengthening and streamlining Social Welfare, Development and Sustainability in the execution of Projects. Effective Systems for projects monitoring, evaluation as well as reporting are marched into projects undertaken for delivery. Projects are implemented within the realm of Blue Moon Charitable trust core values. Our organizational governance ensures the beneficiaries are assured that Pencil is established on their behalf and is indeed serving their best interests. Projects we undertake are geared towards facilitating communities in undertaking effective and sustainable development initiatives, building effective leadership for innovations for development while imparting needed skills and appropriate knowledge to community groups for economic and social empowerment. We at all times strive to promote linkages and networking with other development agencies and government departments. On behalf of the Trust, I wish to thank all our supporters and donors who have ensured that Blue Moon Charitable Trust makes a difference in the lives of the needy. We welcome donations in kind and grants to support our expanding community targeted interventions. Support can cover grant funding for target projects, institutional capacity strengthening, and equipment support, exchange visitations for sharing and personnel volunteerism.
